Leadership

As far as grade school, I remember always standing up first to be the line leader. If there was something to be in charge of, I pursued it. Throughout my school days, my persistence for leading others excelled in and outside of the classroom. That did not change when I attended college.

In my freshman year at LSU, I immediately wanted to be a part of every club. I knew that I needed to focus on my skill sets and find organizations that I truly believed in. I found a home in my sorority, Zeta Tau Alpha. However, I knew I wanted to find other places on campus that would allow me to give back to the community.

Zeta Tau Alpha Fraternity

Throughout my undergraduate career, I served as a member of the LSU Zeta Tau Alpha Delta Kappa chapter. One of my favorite memories was living in the on-campus sorority house for my senior year.

In my sophomore year, I served as the website chair and on the communications team for ZTA. Below are some of the graphics I made to promote recruitment to potential new members. I used Adobe Indesign and Procreate to create these designs.

By being a part of ZTA, I could apply for higher positions on the LSU Panhellenic Council. I loved getting to represent ZTA on a larger scale by overseeing the 4,500+ member council.

LSU Ambassadors

After a rigorous selection process, I was selected as one of 87 new associates to a 20-year-old organization at LSU. The motto of LSU Ambassadors was to recruit, orient, advise and serve LSU students, and I knew that would be an important part of my LSU career.

In the summer of 2018, I served as an orientation leader to the LSU Class of 2022. This was one of my favorite experiences as an LSU Ambassador. As an orientation leader, it was my duty to educate the incoming freshmen on all things LSU and to help them navigate the campus. We were the 20th orientation team at LSU.

I also led the communication efforts of the orientation team. Throughout the experience, I took photos and videos. In the end, I edited a video to commemorate our summer.

Student Government

My group was named the Orange Group!

In my freshman year at LSU, I applied for the Freshman Leadership Council, which is a branch of LSU student government and provides incoming freshmen with opportunities to learn more about the inner workings of LSU SG. FLC members are paired with small group leaders, who help members take part in the processes of SG while making the most of their first-year experience. I enjoyed FLC so much that I applied to be a small group leader my sophomore year. As a small group leader, I led a group of 9 freshmen in learning about SG and forming their leadership skills.

After my journey with FLC, I served in numerous capacities in the Executive Branch. The next role I served in was the president of the University Center of Freshman Year College Council.
